DigiMine Inc. of Bellevue has raised $5.44 million as part of its second funding round, bringing it to $25.5 million so far. The Mayfield Fund is leading the second round.
Company spokesman Joel Sider said the fund-raising effort isn’t over yet. Talks with existing investors and new strategic partners are ongoing, he added.
The 115-employee company helps companies analyze data they have gathered on their customers. Retailer J. Crew, which sells to its customers through traditional brick-and-mortar stores, catalogs and a Web site, is the latest new customer digiMine has signed on.
Launched in March 2000, digiMine less than six months later first rolled out its service as a commercial product with about 40 employees and eight paying customers, all of whom had been signed up as beta-testers for the product.
Since then, the staff has tripled. The number of users has risen by more than 500 percent and company revenues have gone from about $1 million in the second half of last year to a projected $1 million per month by the end of this year, the company said.
