Banking on the Extraordinary: The Enormous Potential of AI in Financial Services
We are joined by one of the leading minds in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, Dr. Usama Fayyad, Executive Director of the Institute for Experiential AI at
Northeastern University, for an exploration of AI-driven technologies that have been strategically and thoughtfully deployed at financial institutions and their much-anticipated future applications. He will help us understand the technical and theoretical challenges of experiential AI and Language Learning Models (LLMs)—where, how, and why the technology fails, and what methods and inputs help the models best succeed. He will explain AI’s dependence on curated and accurately labeled data and on human intervention (also called “human-in-the-loop”) from staff trained in AI “prompt engineering” and model development. He will offer his insights into the direction of AI in our field and the economic, educational, and social consequences of the technology to consider now.
