digiMine, a data mining start-up in Bellevue, Wash., has closed a $20 million round of private financing led by venture capital firm Mayfield Fund. digiMine was founded earlier this year by executives from Microsoft Research’s Data Mining and Exploration Group. An application service provider, digiMine expects to manage and host data mining infrastructure. The company expects to help e-commerce companies filter information from web sites. The company will use the funding to add staff and further develop its software.
