A group of Microsoft veterans has launched digiMine.com, a Seattle company aiming to help e-commerce companies store and analyze customer data. Co-founders include CEO Usama Fayyad, who led the Data Mining & Exploration group at Microsoft, and chief operating officer Bassel Ojjeh, who oversaw the development of Microsoft Commerce Server 4.0 and some of MSN’s early web data warehouses. The company, which has 20 employees, said it raised an unspecified amount of first-round funding from a group that includes Second Avenue Partners, Silicon Valley Angels, Deutsche Bank Technology Fund, Cedar Grove Investments and Kellett Investments.
