RapidMiner World Attracts World-Class Data Analytics Leaders and Customers to Inaugural U.S. Event in Boston

BOSTON, MA­­(Marketwired ­ Aug 25, 2014) ­ Pioneering predictive analytics leader RapidMiner last week concluded its RapidMiner World conference, which brought together over 100 RapidMiner users and other data analytics industry experts from around the globe. The four­day conference, which took place from August 18 ­ 21 in Boston, explored the latest in predictive analytics, data mining, and the future of RapidMiner.

With practical use cases and industry discussions, RapidMiner World attracted a wide­range of participants, ranging in skill­level and company role. In this inaugural U.S. conference, RapidMiner World attracted influential keynote speakers including Usama Fayyad, Chief Data Officer at Barclays Bank, and Michael Skinner, Patent Analytics Manager at Intel. Also participating was John Myers, Research Director at Enterprise Management Associates, who presented recent research in the analytics market, including insight into the future of advanced analytics.

Attendees also participated in the Boston Tea Party Challenge Hackathon to find innovative uses for RapidMiner. The winner was Dr. Heiko Paulheim, of the University of Mannheim.
